Your Host for this event :
Todd Battis
A familiar face to maritime news watchers, Todd Battis returned home to the Maritimes in March of 2008 as the supper hour host for CBC News at Six in New Brunswick.
After receiving his Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Saskatchewan, Todd began his journalism career as a reporter and lineup editor with CBC news in Charlottetown PEI in 1992. After a couple of years in Charlottetown, Todd moved west and joined the CBC news team in Edmonton Alberta as reporter, assignment editor and line up editor.
Following this, Todd returned to the Maritimes and joined the ATV News team as a reporter/host on “Breakfast Television” and as reporter/host/producer of “The Scene”. Todd eventually became the Science Correspondent for the CTV National News based in Halifax.
In 2003, Todd decided to see what living on the west coast would be like and accepted the position as the Vancouver Bureau Chief for the CTV National News where he remained until February of 2008.
But as we know if you grow up on the East Coast nothing else compares, so Todd has moved home with his wife and two children to New Brunswick and has re-joined CBC.
